Looking for Unique Applications of AgileZen

by Niki on June 1, 2010

When we launched AgileZen, we were looking to create a simple tool that had the flexibility to be applied to many different situations. Since that time, we’ve had the pleasure of talking with people who use AgileZen in unique ways, far beyond what we could have imagined. We’ve heard stories from lawyers who have embraced kanban to manage their work and individuals who have been using personal kanban as a way to organize their lives, just to name a few. We’re always interested in learning more about how our customers are using the tool, especially those who are using AgileZen outside of software development, but we wanted to officially ask for your insights.

If you are using AgileZen in a unique way and would be willing to chat with us via email or phone, we would love to hear from you! You can send an email to niki.kohari@rallydev.com and I’ll follow up. Thanks in advance and we look forward to hearing your stories.

    Hey Niki,

Give me a few months and I'll have a really interesting one. Right now we are using AgileZen to manage 16 researchers from 8 research agencies in Vietnam. The Kanban is tracking their individual sections across a value stream, the different stages are informing researches when different kinds of collaboration are possible.

This year, we'll see some pretty unexpected uses of AgileZen, I'll wager

Thanks Jim. This sounds like it would be really great for what we are looking for. If you happen to receive any feedback about the tool as the researchers work, let me know.

My story is not as interesting as Jim one, but I like your project and I want to contribute:
I started using AgileZen after reading the book Eat that Frog! ( http://www.amazon.com/That-Frog-Great-Ways-Proc… ) This book talks about improving your productivity at work and at personal life. I use AgileZen in combination with the ABCDE method, one of the techniques that the book describes, to list and priorize the books, articles and web pages that I need to read to improve my skills in project management. Thanks!
